Nowadays, you will see many people eating steaming momos with hot red chilli chutney in silver streamers at street corners.
Let us scientifically tell you 5 reasons why momos are spoiling your health.
1. Sticks in the Intestines
Momos are made of flour. Flour is a product of wheat from which protein and fiber are extracted and only dead starch remains. Due to protein-free flour, its nature becomes acidic and it absorbs calcium from the bones after entering the body.
Flour is not digested properly and sometimes sticks to our intestines and can block our intestines and give rise to various diseases.
You must have noticed that home made momos are slightly yellow whereas the market ones are completely white. This is because bleach, chlorine gas, benzoyl peroxide azo carbamide is added to make them white and soft. These chemicals damage our kidneys and pancreas and also increase the risk of diabetes.
3. Many stomach diseases like Piles, Gastritis
Hot red chilli sauce is an irritant and is of low quality, which can cause piles, gastritis, bleeding in the stomach and intestines.
4. Dangerous Chemical – Monosodium Glutamate
Some momos sellers add a chemical called monosodium glutamate (MSG) to momos, which increases its taste and makes it fragrant. This MSG increases obesity, causes problems like brain and nerve problems, chest pain, heart rate and increased BP.
5. Fat of dead animal
At some places, meat of dead animals is mixed in non-veg momos and rotten vegetables are added to veg momos, which causes some kind of worms and infections.
